Cleary – Gawlak Wedding on 5/26/19 at The Georgetown Ballroom in Seattle, Wa

Seattle has so many distinct and wonderful neighborhoods, each with their own charming characteristics. But while places like Ballard and Fremont are often talked about, sometimes the neighborhoods a little to the south are left by the wayside. Take Georgetown for instance. Lying on the southern border of SODO and the Industrial District, there are tons of great restaurants, shops and even an outdoor market that make it grand. The Cleary – Gawlak wedding certainly helped remind us how great the neighborhood is, especially the Georgetown Ballroom.

A Memorial Day Weekend wedding, though without the blazing hot sun, meant Katerina and Jimmy could get ready without worry about sweating through their clothes. Some tie-tying tutorials kept us the guys busy while the ladies flew through their hair and makeup. After a few glasses of celebratory champagne, we headed off to the Ballroom (which, in reality is an awesome brick-and-mortar building) where even more drinks were to be had as the final touches came together.

Planning your big day at the Georgetown Ballroom is easy and painless. Offering up tables, chairs, a variety of rooms, private courtyard and more, they will also help you find catering to bring food to your reception. The industrial feel gives it a unique feel all on its own.

Before we could even fathom it, it was time for Katerina and Jimmy to get hitched. The wide open area for the reception was slowly filled with loved ones, while dazzling lanterns hung from the ceiling. Katerina descended a staircase with twinkling lights before making her way down the aisle to her future husband. Vows brought on the waterworks, while a humorous officiant kept sobs at bay with laughs. With the magic words, the two were able to kiss and become husband and wife!

The utterly romantic spaces inside, which were low-lit and just the right amount of “cramped” made our newlyweds look like the lovebirds that they are. We got outside for some shots with the bridal party while there was still light in the sky, but soon enough it was time for them to make their grand entrance through a big garage door, “unveiling” the new husband and wife.

Delicious food followed (did you see that cake?) while everyone was itching to get on the dance floor. Once all the chairs were cleared away, it was the perfect space for a dance floor. The lights slowly dimmed down as time went on, and as more and more booze flowed, the bigger number of dancers that joined. Once the strobe lights and disco ball came out, there was no stopping this crowd from busting a move!

Eventually, and not without some reluctance, it was time to call it a night, though the memories will surely last a lifetime. Congratulations to Katerina and Jimmy on your big day! We hope your first month of marriage has gone magically. Thank you again for choosing Best Made Videos® to film your big day!

Welcome everyone to another wonderful week of weird wedding news! With June in the rearview mirror we have officially arrived at summer and to even more weddings! The frigid winter seems so long ago, and now we can embrace the sun and warmth for a week before we start complaining about it being too hot! It’s time to get down to the updates, so let’s get cracking:

https://www.theknotnews.com/72-year-old-woman-rejected-proposals-37899?utm_medium=40digest.7days3.20190305.carousel&utm_source=email&utm_content=&utm_campaign=campaign

Proposals are one of the most nerve-wracking moments in your life. You would think that by the time you are ready to actually get down on one knee, that your partner is as ready if not more so than you are. So what happens when they say no?

Colin Jones, who this year is 72, has asked his partner Pauline around forty times. Each time, he got a “no.” The two have been together since 1976, so the persistence certainly didn’t scare Pauline off. But what gives, Pauline?

Without revealing too much of the heart-wrenching story, Pauline’s health has taken a turn for the worse which prompted her to…flip the tables shall we say. Check out the article for the full tale!

https://www.brides.com/story/kate-middleton-prince-william-pda-ireland?utm_medium=40digest.7days3.20190305.carousel&utm_source=email&utm_content=&utm_campaign=campaign

Well wouldn’t you know it, it’s time to talk about a royal couple again. This time it was Kate and William who made headlines for being a little more affectionate than what is perceived as normal.

While you might think they were full-on making out in public, the royal couple has a little bit more class than that. Back in March they were attending an event at Belfast’s Empire Music Hall, where they were caught breeching each other’s personal bubbles for hands-on-backs and arms around waists. That might seem pretty tame to you, but for these two (and not newly weds Harry and Meghan) this is certainly fresh!

For guests of any wedding, other than the ceremony itself, the reception (along with whatever delicious food) is going to be the most exciting part of the day. Whether you have giant banquet halls of food, or something a little more intimate, that dinner brings everyone together after the bride and groom get hitched.

One bride in England has decided that she needs to cut costs for her wedding, with the major cut coming in the food department. Meaning, she won’t have any. Her friend (who is also a bridesmaid) went to social media with her concerns. Primarily, because instead of food, the money went towards a bon fire, handmade items and other potentially superfluous purchases. It appears there will also be booze, which does not bode well for anybody drinking on an empty stomach…here’s to hoping they decided to pitch in a few more pennies.

Married at First Site is definitely an interesting social experiment. Putting together three random couples based on expert analysis, they agree to marry “at first sight.” So they marry the couples, send them on a honeymoon, and then move them into a house four eight weeks before deciding if they want to move on or not.

Well, one of these couples have gone the distance. Jules Robinson and Cameron Merchant are reportedly getting hitched “again,” but this time a little more real. Jules was seen shopping for dresses a few months ago, and the couple was also spotted checking out engagement rings. Best of wishes to them!

For those of you living in the UK, Whistles (a wedding dress company) has started a new bridal collection with some solidly affordable dresses. For as low as 499 euros, you can get something beautiful and fitting. Of course, there are going to be far more expensive dresses, but if you fall between sizes 4 and 16, it might be worth your time to see what they have to offer!

Check out the article for some photos of the dresses, and keep a tight hold of your wallet!

Guess what? Here’s another Royal Family article for you! This one focuses on Princess Eugenie. If you’re anything like me and have never heard of Princess Eugenie, well I’m sure glad I am not alone on this one. Her wedding to Jack Brooksbank was a lovely day as they tied the knot at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle last October, but now it’s her dress that is once again garnering attention. Coming from Elle, her dress is now on display at Windsor Castle in a special exhibition. She even recorded her own audio guide for it, and shares details about both dresses (the first one showed off her scoliosis scar, while the second was inspired by Grace Kelly’s attire in To Catch a Thief). https://www.elitedaily.com/p/idris-elbas-story-about-prince-harry-asking-him-to-dj-the-royal-wedding-is-so-dang-chill-16341638

Idris Elba, or the man who was cast as The Gunslinger in The Dark Tower and should absolutely, 100% be the next James Bond, is essentially a gift that keeps on giving. Dishing out phenomenal performances at every turn, many were surprised to learn he was a wicked DJ as well (and plays one on Netflix).

He recently told Ellen DeGeneres the story of how Prince Harry asked him to DJ his wedding to Meghan Markle. Apparently the two had known each other from over the years, and at one party Harry popped the question to him, only to be met with skepticism and shock. Don’t forget, he also performed at Coachella, too!

Oluoch Wedding on 6/1/19 at Lake Wilderness in Maple Valley, Wa

Music licensed from –
The Music Bed – themusicbed.com

Your Voice, Our Video. Promote your business or organization. Shooting videos and having fun all over the Pacific Northwest and beyond! Let us share your story with the world. We simply make the best videos around!

Welcome back, everyone, for another great wedding! A ways southeast of Seattle lies Maple Valley, a quaint little town that you’ll likely pass through on your way to Mt. Rainier National Park. Nestled right along side the city is a lake that promises a little more of the wild-side than you’re likely to get: Lake Wilderness. Offering up a selection of spaces and rooms out of their Lodge, the Parks and Rec department lets you rent directly from them for your big wedding day. Sorry, no Ron Swansons here.

The Oluochs picked the first day of June for their big wedding bash. With a touch of grey in the sky, the sweltering heat would later burn away those clouds for a toasty wedding service that you need to see to believe. Getting ready early in the morning, we knew we were going to have some popping visuals as evidence by the beautiful red bridesmaids dresses hung amongst the greenery.

As the bride and groom got ready, the sheer size of the family became apparent. Some last minute preparations for the day saw the boys doing a little ironing and some research into proper pocket square folding (more on that at the end of the video!) Eventually, looking dapper and sleek, the boys took some time to do some wacky poses together. Not everyone was ready to party, as the younger one were feeling a little tuckered out!

Before long, it was time for the ladies to get the party started. Singing and dancing at their home, they led the bride out to a stretch limo on a walkway of rugs. They could hardly even wait for the wedding before wanting to celebrate!

Nestled up against the lake, the ceremony area looked wonderful with mixtures of snow white chairs and the rich red of the dresses and matching decorations. With an army of a bridal party, the bride and groom stood ready to be married. After some beautiful words by the officiant, a blessing from their loved ones, and the magical first kiss as husband and wife, they were officially married!

Of course, this caused even more dancing. The bridal party immediately started shaking it as they made their way back down the aisle. There was some time for family photos in the forested parts of the lake, and eventually they returned to the lodge where people were already dancing! We love this type of energy, but that meant it was certainly time for food, which there was plenty of!

And wouldn’t you know it, there was more dancing to come after dinner. With the enormous glass windows flooding the room with light, it was such a wonderful sight to see everyone busting a movie, celebrating the beauty of marriage.

Thank you again to Meg and Phelix for choosing Best Made Videos® to film their wedding! We had an absolute blast. Here’s to your first month of being a married couple!

Seattle is a that weird time of year where it can’t quite get over the hump into Spring/Summer. Gray days still dot our weekly forecast, but the sunnier days are staying brighter and warmer for much longer. This is good news for us since we will be spending most weekends outdoors and around weddings! We have some fun, exciting and helpful articles coming your way, though do be aware that this week gets a little bit violent! Buckle up!

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-6747069/Shortlist-revealed-Red7s-Best-Bridesmaid-2019.html?utm_medium=40digest.7days3.20190302.carousel&utm_source=email&utm_content=&utm_campaign=campaign

Now this story is pretty cool! Over in Britain, a competition has been running to find “Britain’s Best Bridesmaid.” After receiving over 500 submissions from brides ranting and raving about their bridesmaids, the competition has been narrowed down to a select 14!

These aren’t simple, “oh my bridesmaid was the best” stories. No, these are “one woman performed an emergency medical procedure–despite having no first-aid training–and managed to save the bride’s leg from being amputated” stories. So, if you don’t have one of those stories, chances are you won’t, well, stand a chance!

Check out the article for some of the other submissions!

While we’re on the subject of bridesmaids, why not get some ideas for gifts to give them when you pop the question for them to be a part of your wedding? Thanks to Brides.com, there are twenty great gifts to choose from and inspire you.

A good portion of the ideas are “Bridesmaid Boxes” which house any number of fun treats and treasures. Some include mini bottles of champagne, a makeover-in-a-box, and even candles or bath salts. The possibilities are seemingly endless, and you can opt to make your own or choose one from dozens of companies!

I’m sure it crosses every bride or groom’s mind: what if my ex shows up? I would guess that the vast majority of weddings don’t have an ex showing on up, otherwise we would likely be talking about them more if they went viral! However, we have quite the tale for you…and it’s not what it seems.

Alex and Nick were in the middle of getting married when out of nowhere, Alex’s ex shows up to ruin the day. Nick, then furious, choke-slams the intruder through a table!

But what if I told you this was all staged?

It certainly was! Both bride and groom were in on it, yet nobody else was! Check out the video for some hilarity!

We’re capping this week off with bridezillas…and cake! It’s a little bit of “best of both worlds” as a bride-to-be took to social media to bash a cake she had received from celebrity baker Jordan Rondel of The Caker. Posting, “this is the ugliest cake I’ve ever seen. I want a full refund.” Upset that she somehow received something less than what she paid for (she did go to a celebrity baker after all) the cake does look noticeably bare aside from some flowers tucked into its two layers.

Rondel later responded “I started The Caker in 2010 and to this day have never experienced anything quite like this.” Rondel eventually refunded the money to the upset customer. Now tell us, what are your thoughts on the cake?

There’s been a bunch of wild wedding news over the past few weeks (Sophie Turner getting hitched to Joe Jonas in a Vegas chapel, Royal Baby alert, and ScarJo and Colin Jost getting engaged) on top of the conclusion to Game of Thrones and Avengers: Endgame, so we have been pretty emotionally drained! Nevertheless, we will persist through the sadness and continue to bring you weird, wacky news! This week we’ve got some dresses, bridesmaid advice, and some cake with a woefully sad ending! Let’s get down to it!

https://www.eonline.com/news/1016599/lil-xan-s-fiancee-dishes-on-their-wedding-plans-and-baby-news

I don’t know much about the modern rap scene, so if you can fill me in a little more about who Lil Xan is that would be great. Either way, he is about to start a family with his fiance Annie Smith. He broke the news on Instagram, in which he announced that “it’s official, I’m going to be a father.”

Alas, there is no ring yet as Smith explains they are “very unconventional.” Ring, no ring, there’s still an engagement which means we will be covering their wedding when it finally happens! Smith had a few thoughts about their wedding, which is likely to be “super, super intimate.” They haven’t ruled out the idea for a large reception, but the wedding will be without too many glaring details for the time being!

https://www.whowhatwear.com/champagne-wedding-dresses/slide3

Though it has taken quite some time, the wedding dress is finally seeing some modern updates and breaks from tradition. White is no longer the go-to color for a growing number of brides, and now we have an entire article dedicated to Champagne Wedding Dresses. Over at Who What Wear, they break down some lovely dresses featuring the peachy-keen color!

Whether you are going for a strapless gown, something a little more sleek or even something closer to a ball gown, the delightful color can be found any dress suited for your body type. Check out the article for all the wonderful designs!

https://www.brides.com/story/make-your-bridesmaids-feel-more-comfortable-on-your-big-day?utm_medium=40digest.7days3.20190228.carousel&utm_source=email&utm_content=&utm_campaign=campaign

While the role of Maid of Honor ultimately takes the brunt of the extra responsibility for the bride, the bridesmaids often also have their fair share of work. This article really digs into some little (but major) changes a bride can make to ensure their bridesmaids have a grand ol’ time.

For instance, two minor adjustments to the wardrobe can allow for emergency prep and comfy feet. Opting for dresses with pockets can allow bridesmaids to carry band aids, extra make up, or the quintessential tissues for when the tears start to flow. And instead of heels, go for some flats, especially if the dress goes all the way to the ankles! Be sure to read the article for even more tips and tricks!

https://yen.com.gh/123391-ghanaian-man-dumped-by-fiancee-t-afford-wedding-cake-choice.html?utm_medium=40digest.7days3.20190226.carousel&utm_source=email&utm_content=&utm_campaign=campaign#123391

Cake is the best…which is why I always try to cap off the week with a tasty, fresh-baked story about it. Alas, this one is rather upsetting for the groom in question. This is a double first for us: on one hand this is the first wedding story we’ve received out of Ghana. On the other, this appears to be the first time a wedding has been ruined because of the cake.

Supposedly the friend of the slighted groom, a Twitter user detailed the breakup. In his tweets, he explains the bride thought her fiance’s budget was too small, which meant she could not have the cake she desired. In the end, he summed it up by essentially saying his buddy dodged a huge bullet. We can’t help but agree!

Welcome back to another weird, wild and wonderful edition of Bizarre Wedding News. The sun is now peaking out more and more, and soon Target and Walmart will be entirely sold out of fans in the Pacific Northwest. We take this as a good sign, because that means everyone is outside ready to get married! This week doesn’t feature any tragic stories, and unfortunately no cake, but we hope we have some fun ones to make up for that!

https://www.foxnews.com/lifestyle/miranda-lamberts-wedding-dress-details-revealed

Well wouldn’t you know it, Miranda Lambert is married again! After a brief fling with Evan Felker that ended in August, it has now only been about 6 months and she is officially married again.

The wedding was a secret (one of the few secrets we would be ok with) as she and her beau got hitched right around Valentines Day. Her husband is a 27-year-old NYPD cop, though it isn’t exactly clear when she even began dating him. Nevertheless, the two are officially married. Be sure to check out the article if you want details on her gorgeous dress!

https://www.postbulletin.com/news/local/from-viral-video-to-the-wedding-of-a-lifetime/article_7ac48456-38ae-11e9-85b9-a7e62ad9f407.html

Viral videos, depending on their subject matter, can engross millions of people from around the world in the story and subjects behind them. So it wouldn’t be surprising that this story actually made its way to a nationwide reality show.

Back in October 2017, Jennifer and Rob Ronnenberg were yet to be married as Jennifer was battling cystic fibrosis. Over the course of several videos, we see her eventual lung transplant surgery and the results: she can finally breathe on her own.

But some producers took notice and just this past February, the two got married live on television on My Great Big Live Wedding with David Tutera (hey, we’ve heard of him before!)

Check the full article for the utterly heartwarming story.

https://www.hindustantimes.com/bollywood/akash-ambani-s-star-studded-pre-wedding-bash-is-set-in-a-winter-wonderland-see-pics-and-video/story-eLpaLOOAX5pzDeqb4YtEmM.html

In the dead of winter, us Washingtonians imagine the warmer days of Spring and Summer for outdoor weddings. For those in warmer climates, the trend seems to be the opposite—at least for some Bollywood stars!

Back in February, Akash Ambani and Shloka Menta got married in Switzerland in what was being referred to as a Winter Wonderland. Their three-day pre-wedding bash in St. Moritz featured a ferris wheel, a carriage that looks like it was plucked from Cinderella, and fireworks to cap it all off. Now this is a winter wedding we can get behind!

https://www.bollywoodshaadis.com/articles/bipasha-basu-sister-vijayeta-basu-in-nandimukh-puja-11870

One last Bollywood story to tide us over for the week, this one is about Bipasha Basu’s sister, Vijayeta Basu. Back in February, they got the wedding celebration off in Bengali tradition with the Nandi Mukh. This is where the elders of “the house and bride offer their prayers to the ancestors asking them to bless the bride and also seek permission for marriage.”

If that wasn’t enough, the article contains quite a few photos pertaining to the weekend before, as well as Basu’s thoughts on dating and marriage in general!

Welcome everyone to another installment of Bizarre Wedding News! I hope everyone had a wonderful and reflective Memorial Day weekend. This week we have a few fun stories including some new forms of bridezillas, catching up with a handful of celebrities, and some tragic news about missing wedding videos. Get ready, here we go!

https://www.actionnewsjax.com/news/investigates/send-ben-jacksonville-area-bride-fights-to-get-wedding-video/923381157

Another horrendous story of a production company failing to deliver the goods, this time in Florida. IT has now been over a year since Melissa got married in St. Augustine, and the only taste of her big day she’s received is a three-minute teaser trailer. She paid $800 for that, as well as the rest of the footage, but Kevin Remington of Collab-Creation Films has yet to hear back from him.

Spamming him with emails over the course of a few months, she has never heard back from him. Action News Jax also got in on the investigation and discovered that the company is indeed closed and that several reviews on theknot.com have all but confirmed what was suspected: this guy was a no-good fraud. But they also started contacting Kevin’s family…which is where things get crazy. Read the article for the shocking conclusion!

https://www.foxnews.com/lifestyle/vegan-bride-slammed-after-banning-meat-eating-guests-mom-from-wedding-we-dont-want-to-host-murderers

Bridezillas run rampant all the time. Not all brides end up turning into one, however the ones who do usually end up with quite the tale about their demeanor. This week will definitely ruffle some feathers and might make you question your own ethics and morality.

In the ever-heated subject of veganism, many people just try to keep to themselves about their eating habits and not force them upon others. One bride, however, posted to a vegan Facebook group about how she was going to require all of her wedding guests to eat from a vegan menu at her wedding. Normally, this may not be a huge issue. There are plenty of delicious vegan foods (many of which people like me can’t eat because I’m allergic to soy, nuts and legumes, but that’s neither here nor there), but it’s how she doubled-down on the claim that made her an enemy,

In an attempt to give contect, she claimed “some family members were told they are not invited to my wedding because we don’t want to host murderers. Our wedding is supposed to be one of the happiest days of our lives.” Her mother and two cousins were then barred from the wedding. Vegans and vegetarians out there, do you share this sentiment? Or do you want your guests to eat meat and other animal products at your wedding?

https://www.brides.com/story/brides-share-why-they-invited-an-ex-to-their-wedding?utm_medium=40digest.7days3.20190227.carousel&utm_source=email&utm_content=&utm_campaign=campaign

Most people really don’t want their exes around in general. There is probably a good reason you broke up, after all, but if you can stand each other’s presences, then more power to you!

But a wedding is the one place you typically don’t want anyone around with romantic history. Brides.com surveyed several people whose exes actually ended up at their weddings and the reasons will surprise you.

Sometimes people get lucky, like Tami, who claims that “you don’t have to hate an ex when the relationship is over.” Her ex was always a better friend than a lover, so they just stayed that way without any bumps or pain!

Another one was more pre-emptive than anything, Raquel claims that “I just felt like if my ex was going to be at my wedding, I didn’t want to have anxiety about him showing up unexpectedly or crashing the party.” So she invited him, and he respectfully declined! Sometimes things do work out ok!

https://www.wmagazine.com/story/jennifer-lawrence-engagement-ring-dior?

After her spree of Oscar-nominated movies, Jennifer Lawrence hasn’t quite been making the same waves as before. But that’s about to change as she got engaged back at the beginning of February. After a brief fling with director Darren Aronofsky, Lawrence is now engaged to art dealer Cooke Maroney. The engagement is news in itself, but the ring on her finger should be sending the Breaking News alerts out.

The ring made its first public appearance at Dior’s Paris Fashion Show (Lawrence herself is signed by Dior) and boy is the thing is massive. When you look at the giant emerald-cut diamond, you’ll notice it’s hardly being supported by the tiny band around her finger. No word has been announced about the date for the wedding, but you can bet we will be covering it when it happens!

https://www.purewow.com/news/lea-michele-most-looking-forward-to-for-wedding?utm_medium=40digest.7days3.20190227.carousel&utm_source=email&utm_content=&utm_campaign=campaign

Glee star Lea Michele has been engaged for over a year now to AYR president Zandy Reich, and you can bet the musical actress is ecstatic for just about every aspect of the wedding…but particularly the food. She was quoted in PureWow as saying, “On Sunday, I requested for a bagel bar with every kind of bagel and every kind of spread and Bloody Marys.” Her hubbie-to-be, a Philadelphia-native, had some food ideas for himself, asking for a Philly cheesesteak bar.

She then corrected herself saying that she really is excited to being around “everyone I love. All together, everyone that’s there with me and Zandy.” Either way, we’re excited to see this wedding happen! Check back in later to when it happens for more coverage!

Welcome everyone it’s time to get happy and excited with bizarre wedding news! This week won’t have nearly as many twists as everything else going on in pop culture, but hopefully it’s enough to keep you satiated until the final Game of Thrones episode or new Spider-Man movie with potential villains, throwbacks and more!

https://www.foxnews.com/lifestyle/couple-slam-backlash-crowdfunding-wedding-money-grabbing-people

Crowdfunding has become quite popular in recent days. Whether it is for a dream come true, helping out with medical costs or, yes, by trying to get funds to build that Mexico wall…you can assist hundreds of people with your wallet. So it would make sense that people are now using it for their weddings…with some unexpected consequences.

A little while ago, a British couple discovered they were well short of their desired budget for their big wedding. After saving for over a year, they still needed $5,800. So they made a GoFundMe page and started asking for donations instead of presents. In three weeks, they put a decent dent in their goal…but then they got publicized by local media which sent things into a tailspin resulting in online criticisms and backlash. But you’ll have to check the article to see what really happens!

Some celebrity weddings just don’t seem to die down, and this week we’re back focusing on the Cyrus/Hemsworth event back in December! We have two stories about the wedding to go over, so let’s start with the attire. Knowing Miley, we know she isn’t the most conventional person, so it would make sense that her original wedding did not feature a Vivienne Westwood gown and all that other fanciness. Rather, she wanted some of life’s simple pleasures: to wear a hoodie and leggings down the aisle, and to grub on vegan chicken and dumplings. Alas, they opted for the fancy route and I think they chose quite nicely!

Next up: the name! When it comes to celebrity weddings, for the sake of recognizability or otherwise, most celebs don’t take the name of their spouse. Miley Cyrus, however, is now Miley Ray Hemsworth. Hubby Liam Hemsworth explained in an interview that Miley came up with the idea on her own, and suggested it to Liam before their wedding. Check out the article for some more married-life updates!

Katie Couric had quite the breaking news story back in February: her daughter Ellie Monahan got engaged! The 27-year-old is now engaged to Mark, and the proposal even comes with some sentimentality. When Mark dropped to the knee, he used the ring that Ellie’s late father had used to propose to Katie back in the 90s. Obviously very excited, Katie’s Instagram post is mostly composed of a dozen “OMGs.” We can’t wait for the wedding!

This next article is going to call for some judgement on your part, so buckle in! We all know weddings cost a pretty penny. Especially the venues. And especially for weddings. One guy in Australia recognized that venues up the charge for an event if it is indeed a wedding. So, he simply told venues and caterers that he was having a “party.” Not the most grave lie to be told before a wedding, but a lie nonetheless.

The first mistake this guy made was lying, his second mistake was telling all of this to his ex-girlfriend, who had texted him to check on the updates for his big day. What did she do with this information? She screenshotted the texts and posted them to Facebook. Like with anything hitting the internet that causes even the most minor controversy, people voiced their angry opinions. The article does not give any updates on if the guy got to go through with his “party,” but we have to imagine all of his vendors were none too pleased.

Welcome back everyone to another scrumptious edition of Bizarre Wedding news! This week we have a quick, tasty treat for you as this article has entirely to do with dessert…but most importantly cake. That’s right, folks, we are dedicating a whole edition to cake (and its many alternatives!) So buckle in (or loosen your pants up) and grab a fork, because it’s eating time!

Let’s get this started off with the State of Cakes in 2019. Thanks to Popsugar, there are seventeen photos of amazing, wonderful cakes for you to, well, feast your eyes on. Like everything else when it comes to weddings, cakes have undergone a number of transformations–especially with the millenials now getting hitched.

Though I won’t be able to describe all of these in one fell swoop in order to save my stomach, a few really stand out. Like Gothic Chocolate, with its painstakingly detailed skulls and flowers, it’s absurd that all of this will be devoured all-too quickly. Or take a look at Artistic Brushstrokes from Simon’s Bakery which looks like someone had some fun with a paintbrush all on one side of the cake. It’s about time y’all check out the article for yourself, I’m getting hungry!

Have you been to a wedding recently where you saw some fluffy goodness around? I’m not talking about snow (oh please, no more snow), but rather Cotton Candy. According to Lollipuff Gourmet Cotton Candy, located in Provo, Utah, the delicious treat is making more and more waves at weddings as they years go by. Not just for eating, but for decoration as well, the owner of Lollipuff describes it as “the new cupcake.”

Take a seat, because they have over thirty flavors. If you’re mouth isn’t salivating just yet, you should know they have everything from the classics to some wild ideas like Mango Chili, Limi Ricky and Lavender. I don’t know about you, but I definitely want some Cotton Candy..and not just at my wedding!

If you’ve been reading this article and find yourself thinking, “gosh, I really hate cake.” For one, I’m sorry. And two, here is what you have been waiting for. So what do you serve at your wedding? Let me tell you, cake is only the tip of the iceberg.

Did you think cinnamon rolls were just for breakfast? WRONG! They’re for weddings too: picture a lovely little brown tower gooped up with that white frosting as it cascades down to the other layers. While we’re on that subject, try some cereal and milk with some of your childhood favorites and all the toppings your mom never gave you to put on it! The last one I’ll mention is a no-go from me, but all you pizza nuts out there should know you can get a ranch dressing fountain to go along with your cheesy goodness! Did you have something other than cake at your wedding? Let us know below!

Welcome back everyone. I apologize to pull you away from any Game of Thrones-related activity, whether it be fan theories or picking through each scene for clues as to how it will end. We’ll make this a quick one for you this time so you can get back to Westeros for the last few episodes. This week we’ve got fashion choices, silly bridal invites, some more Jonas Brother wedding news, and lastly…no Game of Thrones. So if that’s a deal breaker, this is your exit!

You can certainly put this first story in a special category of “absolutely wonderful ideas.” Jesse and Audrey got married a few months ago, but their big day has some great lasting ramifications. What made their wedding so special has to do with the dress code they laid out for their guests, particularly the ladies, as explained by Jesse, “We thought it was sad that most women only get to wear their wedding dress once, so we invited all the women coming to our non-traditional wedding to wear their old wedding dresses again.”

Single ladies were invited to wear wedding dresses of relatives, or black and white, or even a costume. The bride herself wore a blue dress, so as to stand out from the dozen other wedding dresses. Be sure to check the article for all the pics!

It seems like each week there’s a story or two about brides who have made some questionable decisions. Often times these lead to the harsh label, “bridezilla.” This story probably won’t, but you will have to be the judge of that! Back in February, the Mirror posted an article about a rather weird bridesmaid proposal.

A picture shows a pregnancy test box with the words “I’m Late” across the top, and at the bottom, “asking…” Once it was opened a scroll reveals the words, “To be my bridesmaid.”

Yeah…pretty awkward. It didn’t exactly blow over well with the internet, but you’ll have to check the article to find out why!

Another fun fashion article! This one was the wedding of Aaisha Thomas and Eureke Jones where Aaisha had her bridesmaids shed the traditional dress for something different and much, much sleeker. Instead of dresses, the four bridesmaids rocked royal blue tuxedos and heels for an eye-popping look! They matched up with the rest of the bridal party as well, so everyone was looking primo! The Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra already has made a number of headlines, and so will the wedding of Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner (we will get to that when it happens, don’t you worry), but even more news is coming out about their remarkable wedding. This one is in regards to bridesmaid Elizabeth Chambers, who almost missed the big day!

Apparently, Elizabeth got to the airport only to realize she didn’t have the required travel visa to fly to India for the wedding. While the other bridesmaids found themselves a little irked, Priyanka kept her head and they were all able to get the right documents to Elizabeth in time for her to fly!
