Gaston Wedding on 1/19/19 at The Kelley Farm in Bonney Lake, Wa

Song Freedom – songfreedom.com

It has certainly been a chilly winter up here in the Pacific Northwest, though we don’t really have much room to complain this week when a good portion of the country is literally colder than Antarctica. A few weeks ago we made our way over to Bonney Lake, and specifically to Kelley Farm for the Gaston wedding. While we were blessed with a dry day, it didn’t help with the cold. Luckily, Kelley Farm is ready for whatever need with multiple ceremony locations (yes, there’s indoor ones for days just like this, and heated floors). Offering up several catering partners, enough space for more than three hundred people, and a curfew of midnight, The Kelley Farm really wants you to eat up and party the night away!

The Gastons were greeted with gray skies for their wedding, but some warming spirits were nearby to take away the biting cold. Looking especially dapper in grey suits with maroon vests and ties, the boys had some fun…horsing…around in front of the barn while the ladies were a little calmer in their warm dressing rooms. Once the room was just about bursting with excitement for the big day, it was time for the first look!

Greeting her groom outside the barn, the first look was so sweet. That wonderful mix of nervous and excited let the bashfulness shine through. We were able to walk around the farm with them as they posed along with the rustic setting, green trees and soothing gray skies. Eventually gathering again in front of the barn, this time with the rest of the bridal party, we got some wide shots of the massive group.

Soon enough, though probably not soon enough for the bride and groom, it was time for the wedding. As everyone filled the impressive wood barn, with twinkling lights and chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, the groom could hardly contain himself–especially when he saw his bride approaching.

Try to get through the vows and speeches read by their loved ones without crying–we dare you. A loving, spiritual ceremony saw the tying of the knot for Andrea and Jeffrey, and there was hardly a dry eye to be seen, especially for the bride and groom. With the magic words spoken by the officiant, there was only really one thing left to do: kiss and become husband and wife.

After a dip that probably gave Andrea whiplash, the newlyweds left the ceremony hall with their namesake song…from none other than Beauty and the Beast (hopefully it didn’t take you this long to recognize the name!)

The reception to follow was the cap to a spectacular day. Silly props for the photo booth provided plenty of smiles (though there were already plenty), as did the dozens of cupcakes. Eating turned into dancing, and then in the blink of an eye the night was over and it was time to head home.

Congratulations to Andrea and Jeffrey on your wedding and thank you again for choosing Best Made Videos® to film it! We hope the first few weeks have gone magically.

How did you guys meet?

Andrea took her brother out to a bar to celebrate his 21st birthday, albeit a little late, and to be his wingman. Jeff just so happened to go out to that same bar that night to hang out with friends. He was standing by the dance floor talking to people and he looked over Andrea’s direction several times and would smile at her. Though she had already noticed and would smile back, Andrea’s brother, Jacob, noticed that he kept smiling as well, and said loudly (so that Jeff heard) “Sis, that guy keeps smiling at you.” Andrea was pretty much obligated to talk to Jeff at that point, since he was standing there chuckling about what had just happened. From that moment on, Jeff never stopped talking to her and they fell madly in love.

Tell us about the proposal!

On February 19, 2018, Andrea and Jeff had decided that they wanted to do a family day. The activity that Jeff suggested was to go and paint ceramics in Gig Harbor down by the water. Jeff wanted everyone to dress up and he made Andrea change out of her comfy clothes and into something fancier. Andrea thought it was weird, but Jeff used Andrea’s love of taking pictures together as his reasoning. Jeff got Andrea’s friend Alisa to come along with her children and they all hung out and painted different ceramics. Jeff seemed quieter than normal and very antsy. As they were finishing up, Andrea’s parents called her, asking if they wanted to go to lunch. After Andrea agreed, Jeff told her that they first had to go to a look out point in the harbor to take their family picture first. What Andrea didn’t know is that Jeff had already asked her parents to meet them up at the lookout point and to put flowers on a bench that said “Andrea, For making me a Happy Man. Turn Around”. And there, as Andrea turned around while surrounded by her family, Jeffrey was already on one knee, holding open a box with a beautiful ring inside!

Why did you choose your venue?

We wanted a winter rustic wedding, and the barn at Kelley Farm was perfect! From the twinkly lights outside the barn to the beautiful chandeliers on the inside, and the huge barn doors, The Kelley Farm brought the perfect mixture of rustic elegance.

What are you most excited to see in the video?

The First Look and the groom’s face as the barn doors open.

We are in full effect of the Seattle Squeeze, rain is in the forecast, and if that doesn’t sound like Winter in Seattle to you, well, I don’t know what will. We are here to fend off the gray, monotonous commutes and dreary weather with weird and wild wedding stories. We have a big focus on the secret wedding of Miley Cyrus and Chris Hemsworth this week, as well as some riviteting wedding showdowns and a dazzling, unicorn-styled wedding. Ready for some fun?

https://www.ocregister.com/2018/12/25/christina-el-moussa-and-ant-anstead-marry-in-surprise-newport-beach-wedding/

A surprise wedding saw the marriage of Christina El Moussa and Ant Anstead, two television hosts, after a whirlwind love affair that lasted only a year before the big day. Host of Flip or Flop, Christina divorced her former partner and co-host Tarek El Moussa back in January, and entered into a relationship with Ant, the host of Wheeler Dealers.

Their guests arrived under the impression that they would be going to the Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade, but instead got a front yard wedding. Christina announced she would be changing her name–and that she has a new show coming called Christina on the Coast. Congrats to the newlyweds!

This one is quite the doozy of a story. We all have exes, and chances are they probably won’t be invited to our weddings. Well, one ex did decide to show up to a wedding, obviously without an invitation, and proceeded to create quite the ruckus.

Coming from the point of view of the Donut Shop owner who essentially saved the day, this one will make you feel a bit of rage. Apparently, one day he received an urgent call just before closing. Making an exception for the customer who pleaded to come in, they came and pretty much cleared them out of their donuts. Writing “Congrats” on some eclairs, he makes the sale and the lady goes on her way. A while later, after the honeymoon, the newlyweds came in to tell the story of how the groom’s ex invaded the wedding after learning her ex was to be wed. She burst in, grabbed the cake, and threw it at the newlyweds. She then proceeded to smash wine bottles on the floor before the police came and charged her with assault, destruction of private property and more. All in all, the wedding turned out superb, and left the owner feeling as happy as the newlyweds!

Tired of the same old wedding designs? Want something to bring a touch of magical, happy clouds and rainbows? Take a look at this wedding shoot that is described as a “sparkly unicorn in a field of horses.” From designer Jade of Let’s Bee Together, it features, well, a rainbow of colors, dazzling makeup and all comes together with some lovely soft, pink tones. Though it might not be everyone’s flavor, for those wanting something a little different this is surely right up your alley!

The wedding dress, for some, is the most crucial aspect of the big day–I mean, they even make shows and movies just about the dress–so naturally there’s a rather large premium on dresses and some go for thousands of dollars. Fans of Say Yes to the Dress should immediately recognize Kleinfeld, the show’s home-base.

Just a few weeks ago, they opened (and have already closed) a temporary pop-up show that brought in 1,500 different styles of wedding dresses at remarkably low prices. We’re talking going from $15,00-$20,000 all the way down to less than $1,000! Now that’s just insane. Too bad the deals are gone, but boy oh boy what savings!

We’re capping this week off with a dive into the biggest wedding of the last month! After what seemed like too-many years, a rough relationship, and some near-misses, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth finally got married in a secret ceremony at right before Christmas, almost a decade after meeting on the set of The Last Song.

In their small, private ceremony which saw the arrival of the Hemsworths (Chris included), Billy Ray and more, the two kept things sweet, fun and family-oriented. Take a look at the Popsugar article for some fun photos of Thor doing shots, Miley and Liam kissing, and the united families cutting the cake.

Elite Daily writer Bella Gerard dug into the importance of Miley’s dress, as like we have come to know her, her style isn’t exactly what would be considered conventional. Yet, she went for a lovely white dress above anything else.

Designed by Vivienne Westwood, known for bringing modern-punk looks into mainstream fashion, Gerard describes it as “ivory silk satin, with an off-the-shoulder neckline and a draped, corseted bodice.” Costing an estimated $8,600, she certainly did not buy it from the previous article!

The last article discusses the cake, a centerpiece of almost any wedding. After a year of some crazy cakes, like the eighteen-foot-tall behemoth from the Jonas/Chopra wedding, Miley and Liam’s was, well, pretty normal just like her dress. The author of the article digs into this same notion too. The last decade has shown us that Miley wanted nothing more to break free from her childhood star roots and make a name for herself. It seems like she did that, doing exactly what she wants and not sticking to any presumptions about her. Congrats to the happy couple!

With Seattle in a bit of a craze due to Carmageddon caused by the “Seattle Squeeze,” it’s about that time to help take your mind of the stresses of an overly-long commute with some great new stories from the world of weddings! This week we’ve got blindfolds, roller skates, a trip to India and more! Let us get down to it!

https://www.kansascity.com/news/nation-world/article222359565.html

The world has been taken by storm by Netflix’s new horror film, Bird Box. Sort of a riff on A Quiet Place, characters must survive in a world blindfolded due to monsters being able to possess you through exposed eyes or something. Sounds crazy, but it’s their most watched movie now–even still, this story pre-dates the movie, though it will certainly be repeated from now on as most young kids these days are trying their own “Bird Box” challenges with disastrous results.

Stephanie Agnew had lost her site about five years ago, and on her wedding day she wanted everyone else to experience the wedding as she was about to. So she asked them to wear blindfolds. Universally supported, it went off without a hitch and helped provide a really unique atmosphere for the wedding!

https://www.usnews.com/news/entertainment/articles/2018-12-11/celebrities-flock-to-indian-business-scions-lavish-wedding

You want to talk about big weddings? One of the biggest of 2018 was held about a month ago in India and saw the marriage of Isha and Mukesh Ambani (thought to be the richest man in India). A lakeside Italian palace served as the host for the engagement party back in September, but the pre-wedding parties saw thousands of people arrive including Hillary Clinton, Beyonce and more.

If you were thinking that that was all the celebrating to be done, you’re wrong. More parties followed, as did the guests. Remember Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’ wedding not too long ago? We don’t either after this!

https://nypost.com/2018/12/13/bride-wows-guests-by-roller-dancing-at-wedding/?utm_medium=40digest.prsonly.20181214.carousel&utm_source=email&utm_content=&utm_campaign=campaign

Think you had a pretty cool first dance at your wedding? I’m sure it was choreographed, timed and practiced to no end. But I have one question to ask: did you do it on roller skates?

I bet about 99.9% of you answered “no,” because none of you would want to imagine eating dirt after face-planting on your wedding day.

Chrissy Mitchell and her dad decided that they would do something really special for their dance after she got married to Kevin. Having skated for most of her life, it was a mutual bond she had with her dad, making perfect sense to break out the wheels for their big dance. Be sure to check out the pictures and videos in the article!

https://www.foxnews.com/lifestyle/bridesmaid-newlyweds-pda-in-funny-photo

The final story this week brings the laughs and snickers with a hilarious photoshoot. If you have ever been in a siblings wedding, or even seen them date, you’re likely to want to give them some flak, roll your eyes when they kiss, or, like Elena did, prank her brother during their wedding photos.

The picture does all the work: Elena, whose younger brother Chris had just wed Lucy, decided to make a bit of a face…the face we all make when our siblings do something gross. The picture is worth a million bucks as the newlyweds embrace in a kiss while Elena…looks sour. Don’t worry, it has garnered a lot of publicity and shortly after the shot Elena went back to being on her best behavior for her little bro!

And that is it for this week! Thank you for stopping by, even if you were forced to because of the Seattle Squeeze. Have any stories of your own to share? We would love to have them!

Welcome everyone! I hope the New Year is treating you all splendidly. If you were worried we would not have many stories to share with you, boy are you wrong! We will always fun new stories coming your way, even if we typically ask for more. So let us get down to another installment of Bizarre Wedding News. This week will make your blood boil a little, but also take you to a secret wedding and one of the most awesome bouquet tosses in the history of weddings. Are you ready?

https://www.thecut.com/2018/11/mika-brzezinski-and-joe-scarborough-secretly-got-married.html

You may have heard of Joe Scarborough (singer-songwriter) and Mika Brzezinski from their talk show, Morning Joe, on MSNBC, or you at least heard about Trump ragging on Mika’s plastic surgery. Nevertheless, the two secretly got married back in November, after having been engaged since May of 2017. Their romantic engagement in France prompted them to plan for a Nantucket wedding this past spring, though their plans appear to have been altered as they celebrated a secret wedding right before the holiday season.

While probably not our go-to for romantic destination, they held their small ceremony at the National Archives in DC right in front of the Bill of Rights and Constitution. If this was all a big ploy for an actual National Treasure heist, I would be pleasantly delighted, however it seems as though it was pretty quick before they headed off to Chez Billy Sud for the reception.

https://nypost.com/2018/11/06/woman-finds-her-diamond-before-proposal-and-ring-shames-herself/

Ready to get a little annoyed? Apologies in advance.

At the beginning of November, a soon-to-be engaged woman, who remains nameless, discovered that her boyfriend was getting ready to propose to her after discovering an engagement ring. As most people would silently celebrate with baited breath while their significant other carefully planned to pop the question, this girl instead went to a Facebook group where others post about silly engagement stuff.

Making fun of the ring herself, she also called on others to supply their own roasts, as well as advice on how to perhaps get her boyfriend to get her a better ring. By this point you’re probably thinking, “what a loser, he should dump her.”

Alas, as she has remained nameless there has been no follow up to her jerkery, though this is one engagement we really can’t get 100% behind! Who knows, maybe she was really just messing around?

https://www.insideedition.com/media/videos/man-proposes-bridesmaid-immediately-after-bouquet-toss-48783

In order to make up for that last downer, we are closing this week of with an awesome story about one of the funniest and adorable proposals ever. During a wedding, newlywed Natalie opted out of tossing her bouquet, and instead walked up to her friend Kirsty and simply handed it to her.

Why, you ask?

Because her boyfriend Joe was ready and waiting on one knee to pop the big question!

Unbelievable, right? Typically, the bouquet toss is a cute little ritual that many don’t put much faith into actually playing out its superstitions, but this time it did! And she said yes! Check out the video for yourself!

There you have it for this week, folks! I hope you enjoyed these stories. Like I said earlier, if you have any you want to send our way, we’d love to have them! See you all next time.

Sheridan Wedding on 12/21/18 at Mountain Springs Lodge in Leavenworth, Wa

Song Freedom – songfreedom.com

“We love it!!!!! Thank you so much!!!!”

Located near the Bavarian Village of Leavenworth, and nestled right in the Cascade Mountains, Mountain Springs Lodge is a stunningly gorgeous venue that takes quite a bit of time to get to–but it undoubtedly proves worth the wait! With dozens of local suggestions for cakes, florists, photographers and more, the Lodge also aims to source all of the food locally too. Worried about booze? They have got you covered on that too! No minimum order required!

Just four days before Christmas, the Sheridans wed up in the frigid cold mountains. Blanketed in snow and decked out for the holidays, the lodge looked so warm and inviting after a the long drive up into the white-capped mountains. A morning of keeping warm by sipping champagne and staying away from the snow allowed for a rather chilly first look outside.

We’re not quite sure where Allysa got the fortitude to stand outside in the wintery weather for their epic, snowy first look, but sure enough she trekked her way through the snow, sleeveless and all, to meet her groom. It was cold even for us, and we had jackets and boots!

I hate to say it, but this really was a white wedding with the stark white dress out amongst the soft, delicate snow. If that wasn’t cold enough for you, we were right on the shores of a lake with the wind whipping through the area. I’m getting shivers just watching the footage! But boy, what a beautiful location for a first look, accentuated perfectly by our soaring drone footage.

Soon the rest of the party headed outside. The boys looked warm but the snow proved a little tough to maintain a footing in. Even with fiery red dresses the ladies looked a little chilly, and there’s really no blaming them! Luckily, it was time to get married!

Inside in a vastly warmer ceremony space, the bride and groom met to be married with a nice big hearth staring at them from the other end of the aisle. The intimate space had Christmas trees, draped lights and more for a wholly magical ceremony.

The magic didn’t stop there, as the officiant finally declared the spell so to speak, and allowed the bride and groom to kiss, officially becoming husband and wife. But wait, there’s more! Following their ceremony, the newlyweds and pals headed outside for a sleigh ride through the winter wonderland!

Everyone else retired for some liquid warmth, patiently waiting in the cozy lodge for the return of the newlyweds for the reception. Once they arrived, the ceremony space was splendidly transformed into the reception area and soon the partying began. Cake and dancing prompted everyone to join in on the fun and keeping up the heat.

Thank you again to Allysa and Jake for picking Best Made Videos® to film their wedding! We hope your first month of marriage has been full of love and warmth! Have any questions or comments? Did you traipse through the snow on your wedding day? Let us know below!

Kragenbrink Wedding on 10/5/18 at The Fairmont Olympic Hotel in Seattle, Wa

Not only is it one of the area’s most premier luxury hotels, but the Fairmont Olympic Hotel in Downtown Seattle is also an historic landmark that has stood the test of time since 1924. Recently named as the #1 best hotel in Seattle (by U.S. News & World Report), you can’t really argue against the claim. With a AAA 4 diamond restaurant (The Georgian), a fantastic oyster bar and a hopping lounge, this place is the pinnacle of class and sophistication for any hotel or wedding venue in downtown Seattle.

So we think the Kragenbrinks are pretty awesome for having their wedding here. A quiet October morning had everyone sipping bubbly, putting on suits with pastel-green ties, and having a grand old time while doing so. Once the boys were all decked out they were in quite the fun mood, so we got some really “romantic” shots of them just goofing around.

Eventually the ladies were ready too, and joined in on the fun with the rest of the bridal party. We loved seeing all the funny poses and tongues sticking out. Once all the silliness was out of their systems, the bridal party was finally ready for the big show.

Taking a page out of any loving nerds fantasy book: the bride made her way down to “Zelda’s Lullaby” from the Legend of Zelda video games. Truth be told, the thought has certainly crossed our minds before so we give them props for making it a reality, though the majority of people in attendance would probably never know its source.

Against a massive window that let the light pour into the venue, the bride and groom met to be married in a spiritual ceremony that let Katie and Chase share their love for each other and for god in front of everyone they know. As classy as can be, with gold handrails, marbled stairs, and plenty of candles, it was such a magnificent sight to see these two marry. The Fairmont really does mean luxury!

Returning down the aisle to even more Zelda music (stop stealing our ideas, guys!), it was time for some group photos with the family and to get all the boring paperwork out of the way. Itching for great food, booze and celebration, the rest of the guests made their way to the reception hall where the newlyweds soon returned to start the bash.

After cutting into the ridiculously beautiful cake (which should probably be considered a crime) the rest of the night flew by in a series of dances, speeches and a myriad of lights and music. Bringing out a photobooth and a Nintendo Switch for the kids to play with kept those not wanting to dance perfectly entertained, as everyone else boogied the night away.

Thank you again to Katie and Chase for picking Best Made Videos® to film their wedding! We hope your first three months of marriage have been going wonderfully. Have any questions or comments? Leave them below and we will get to them!

How did you guys meet?

We met the first day of college. We were in the same band orientation group. We started dating a week later.

Tell us about the proposal!

Chase took me out to a nice dinner at Outback Steakhouse. Then he suggested that we go to Bellevue Downtown Park to check out the new renovations and the see if they had put in new swings. We paused halfway through walking around the park, and Chase got down on one knee, pulled a ring out his pocket, and asked me to be with him forever. I said yes of course.

Why did you choose your venue?

I fell in love with the greenery and the grandeur of the windows in the Garden Room.

What are you most excited to see in the video?

The ‘first look’ during the ceremony processional.

Katie and Chase’s story in their own words:

Our Story

We met on our first day at Cal Poly SLO where we happened to be in the same band WOW orientation group. We started dating a week later on September 20, 2011 and have been together ever since. After college, Katie accepted a job offer in Washington, and Chase decided to follow her there. After living together in Bellevue, Washington for two years, Chase proposed to Katie in the Bellevue Downtown Park on October 12, 2017. Now we are ready to get married on October 5, 2018 at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel in Seattle. Come and celebrate with us!

Welcome back, folks to Round 2 of our Favorite Wedding Vows of 2018! We have eight more wedding vows coming at you, so get the tissues, wipe off the makeup and buckle yourself in for some words of love!

Wilson Wedding

The Wilsons’ Wedding up at Radar Lake was touching for a number of reasons (one being that the bride’s uncle built the lake!) but their vows really crawled their way under our skin and made us feel all the love.

Mallory and Mike met in a magical little clearing at the edge of the lake, surrounded by dazzling lights and trees, and sealed the deal, but not without making us a little weepy first! Mike started out with the heavy-hitters, “Mallory, you’re my dream come true. I have loved you more and more every day since the moment I met you. I promise my love for you will grow every day as we grow old and wrinkly together.”

In response, Mallory brought out some knockouts of her own, “I’ve waited my whole life for you, this moment, this feeling. Every day that I wake up next to your smiling face, I fall more and more in love with you. I love who you are and who you’ve helped me become.” Not too long after that the emotions started to come out, so check it out for some tears!

Culpepper Wedding

The Culpeppers’ spectacular wedding at McCaw Hall is one of the highlights of our year, but the vows are just as grand. Stephen and Allyson met for an August wedding with tons of dancing, celebration and pure fun. Going first, Allyson goes through a series of funny moments and stories about her soon-to-be husband, “I will say your choice to channel Nacho Libre when we’re fighting is questionable, though, and it’s always really risky. With that said, it’s been ten years and whatever we’ve got going on here works.”

Stephen’s vows start off, like Allyson said…questionable…as he immediately goes in with, “You have been the most challenging, difficult, pressing, emotional, wonderful and genuinely happy part of my life. You have always been uniquely yourself and you follow your own code.” Lucky for them, they’re so good together. Not many bride’s would take to hearing “difficult and challenging” on their wedding day too keenly!

Shubha and Mike’s Wedding

A delightful Fremont wedding saw the union of Shubha and Mike in a warm, colorful ceremony. Bright sunny skies, a perfect summer day and rooftop venues made it a beauty! After hearing from the officiant and some friends and family, it was time for the two to share their vows. Simple, sweet and absolutely perfect, Shubha started out with “Mike, you’re my best friend and I’m so excited to call you my husband.” Shying away from heavy emotions, she finishes off with a simple promise to, “always love you, and I can’t wait for our next adventures together.”

Mike kept it short and sweet too, as this repeat ceremony (the two had already legally wed) inspired some recycled thoughts, “I can’t believe this day is finally here…again. I can’t believe I get to marry you…again. I promise to always love and cherish you…again.” Hey, we think it’s pretty rad and sweet, I don’t know about you!

Wetzler/Ashby Wedding

As cool as cucumbers, the Wetzler/Ashby wedding was a casual, laidback event that was perfectly suited to the bride and groom. Secluded up in the mountains at the Freestone Inn, their relaxing, carefree day still saw some lovely vows.

Tricia went first with a series of lines that make us want to take notes, “There is no time or place that I feel as safe and content as I do in your arms. I feel like these vows are more than just a promise, but also an amazing privilege.” She goes on for a while more, so you have to check out the video for more!

Kent reciprocated with a story of their first meeting where Tricia told him, “I don’t need you,” and he goes on to prove just how much they need finally each other.

Bishbeat Wedding

We knew the vows for the Bishbeats were going to be amazing because they also created their own last name! Chloe starts right out with the emotion and the love, “Tyler, who knew that my mother was right the whole time she was teasing me for my teenage crush on you, and that you were my dream guy…” which then triggered all of the emotions.

Tyler, not to be outdone, began with “Chloe, it took about a week for my heart to figure out that you were the one for me,” and he does not let up until everyone is reduced to a puddle of tears!

Vladyka Wedding

The awesome Trophy Lake Golf & Casting Club was the home of the Vladyka wedding where Alee and Alex delivered sweet vows that made us laugh and dab our eyes. Alee brought the jokes and the giggles, telling her husband, “It is so difficult to find a man like you because you’re so extraordinary, you have such a kind, innocent heart and that is one of the things that I love most about you.”

Alex wanted to take a trip down memory lane, reminding themselves of the time he tried to change a tire and then fast forwarding to today, where they are ready to embark on a new journey together as they look forward to all of the little, wonderful things awaiting them.

Duell Wedding

The Duell wedding was a fantastic June celebration of love and faith. Bethany and Nate tied the knot at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church and exchanged wonderful vows. Going first with a classic, suave speech, Nate promises, “I will always trust and honor you. I will stay committed to you with unwavering support. I will have patience and understanding. I have nothing but unconditional for you every day and I will be a champion for you.”

Following suit, Bethany declares, “there are so many things about you that I love. Firstly, people just enjoy being around you, myself included. You bring a lightness and unfailing optimism, and a pure, natural joy to those around you.” It gets sweeter after that, but we’ll let you see for yourself!

Smith Wedding

The final wedding for today took us to the Indian Summer Golf and Country Club where we saw the Smiths get married! Tarissa and Ryan looked ravishing out on the links, and the excitement for the union was universal.

Ryan begins first, opening his heart to his bride, “Since the day I met you, you’ve changed my life and made me a better person. You bring out the best in me and you always keep me positive and stay by my side, even if I’m difficult.” That’s not even the half of it!

Tarissa’s vows are markedly more emotional, almost crying before she even starts, “Ryan, I first wanted to tell you how thankful I am that I’m to be marrying you today. Over these past four years you’ve made me feel like the luckiest person on the planet.” Oh boy, get the tissues!

Welcome one and all to our final Favorites of 2018 countdown! You’ve seen our favorite new wedding venues, repeat wedding venues, indoor and outdoor wedding ceremonies, and now it’s time for the granddaddy of them all: Favorite Wedding Vows. In a year full of love and happiness, tears and laughter, we have boiled down our Top 24 Favorite Wedding Vows and are presenting them to you in three parts! So grab some tissues or prep your hankey, because the feels are coming! Let’s get the show on the road:

Spiziri Wedding

The wonderful early September Spiziri Wedding led us over to Chateau Lill in Woodinville. Though the sky was a little cloudy, it didn’t stop the vows from making this day so full of love and warmth. Remember when I said to have the tissues ready? Well, you might need one as soon as Christina begins her vows to Andrew. “Today is the best day. Ever. I get to marry my best friend. Since the day we met, there was only you. I was twenty-one. I thought I was a little crazy, but the more I got to know you, the more sure I became.”

She then goes into a storied history of their time together, the things they’ve done and will continue to do. But the line that sums things up pretty well for us is: “Even after seven years together, I cannot stop finding new reasons to love you every single day.” Hey, I’m not crying, you are!

Plummer Wedding

Over at our favorite misnomer farm, Dairyland, we saw the Plummers get married on a brisk October day. Both Ashley and Cole came ready with some poignant vows. Like others, Ashley’s vows detail their time together. Starting with their summer romance and how she didn’t know it would “grow into the lifelong love” she had always dreamed of. To really drive it home, she says “You have been the best person I could depend on during the best and most difficult moments of my life.”

Cole did not wait around to return some of his own emotion-stirring vows. Starting out with the basic truths, “I love you so much. You are my best friend and my soulmate. I must’ve hit the lottery when I found you, because you make me the luckiest man on earth.” You’re not gonna find too many people who disagree!

Leslie Wedding

The Semiahmoo Resort played host to the lovely Leslie Wedding in September. Their stunning waterfront ceremony also contained some truly inspiring vows that anybody can take lessons from. Brian started out first, essentially showering Lindsey with all of the amazing things she does and is, “I absolutely adore your playful spirit and the silliness you bring to our home. Thank you for embracing my weirdness and always allowing me to be myself. You bring optimism and positive energy into all that you do and that truly does motivate me.”

Not to be outdone, Lindsey brings out the emotion right away, “Brian, life is a funny thing, you can try to plan it and predict it, but it has its own agenda. As most people here can attest to, I am a planner. I tried to plan my future a long time ago, and life just laughed in my face and said, ‘we’ll see about that.’” Hey Lindsey, you available for coaching?

Grybos Wedding

One of our absolutely favorite stomping grounds, Salty’s, was an excellent venue for the Grybos’ wedding. Marcy and Mark were poised and ready, overlooking the Sound, to deliver their soul-stirring vows. Going first, Mark recalls meeting Marcy in Seoul, “Our road here wasn’t the easiest. With almost two years of long-distance we had to endure, the distance mattered little because what you meant to me was so much more. Every late night talking on the phone, all the times we had to say goodbye, it was all worth it.”

Mark goes on to really make us swoon, but you have to check out the video to find out what he says!

Snow Wedding

The Snow wedding took us down to the Inglewood Golf Club for a late-August ceremony. Starting right out with the humor, Sterling makes us all laugh, “Alright, I’m gonna try to get through this without crying, so bear with me here. From the first day I met you, I knew it was going to be special…” And he kept to his word! Imbuing it with love and laughter, it was a superb speech.

Genieve did not quite do so well on the emotion front, but nonetheless dazzled with some deep words, “Your heart is so pure, everything you do is with the best of intentions, not expecting anything in return. My heart is so full every chance I get to speak with you.” Oh boy, grab the tissues!

Lin Wedding

Over at the stellar Hollywood Schoolhouse, April and Tyson Lin got hitched. The tender ceremony which had the bride and groom looking doe-eyed at each other, even had the officiant getting in on the digs. April, going first, says “you truly are the best thing that has ever happened to me. You are my lover, my encourager, my provider and my best friend. I feel so blessed to have you as a life partner and husband.” She goes on to make a series of promises to her husband-to-be, only for Tyson with a sob-worthy speech.

“You have often heard me refer to our relationship as going up a mountain. We have climbed and grown together, we have experienced switch-backs, tougher trails, but most importantly we have pushed forward, persevered and experienced some beautiful destinations.” Cue the waterworks!

VanNieuwenhuise Wedding

The extravagant Thornewood Castle was the perfect destination for the VanNieuwenhuise wedding. Rhianna and Wes came ready to dazzle with their vows, but it’s Rhianna who really brought the emotion, “I choose you in friendship and in love, in strength and in weakness. I promise to love you faithfully in the good time and the bad. I vow to not to just grow old with you, but to grow with you.” Short, sweet and to the point, these two didn’t need long, storied history to get their messages across.

Bullard Wedding

Kimi and John’s regal wedding at the Woodmark Hotel came along with tons of laughter and tears. Kimi could hardly get going without the tears overwhelming her, “I feel not only protected but invincible in your presence.” That’s when the emotions started to flow, so let’s switch over to John who says, “You proudly tell family and friends that early on, you knew our relationship would amount to more than dating. You had it all figured out, well before I did, and were patiently waiting for me to grow up, sober up, and get down to business.” These two are just grand!

Each year, a clandestine meeting is held between members of the Pantone Color Institute and representatives from other country’s color standard groups. They debate for two days and ultimately come to a decision on what is going to be the next “Color of the Year.” This has been going on for the past twenty years.

I promise you I am not making this up. There really are groups of people who decide on which color is going to be everywhere for the next year. 2018’s color happened to be Ultra Violet.

As bizarre and overly-secretive as it seems, the amount of influence Pantone’s Color of the Year has is outrageous. Not even out for a month, their color for 2019, officially known as “PANTONE 16-1546 Living Coral” has already made waves across multiple industries–including weddings.

Described by Pantone as “vibrant, yet mellow” Living Coral “embraces us with warmth and nourishment to provide comfort and buoyancy in our continually shifting environment.” And by all means, the color does look quite lovely and inviting. Their reasoning behind choosing the color ties into the overabundance of social media and digital technology in our lives, and Living Coral “welcomes and encourages lighthearted activity. Symbolizing our innate need for optimism and joyful pursuits, Living Coral embodies our desire for playful expression.”

Pantone Color Institute’s vice president, Laurie Pressman, goes further into detail about the importance of Living Coral, “It is a color we see in nature. Lying at the center of our naturally vivid and chromatic ecosystem, it is evocative of how coral reefs provide shelter to a diverse kaleidoscope of nature’s color and serves as a source of sustenance and shelter to sea life.”

We can’t help but agree, it really does bring a great sense of spirit and vivaciousness. Their unveiling also came along with an installation at the conference that showed how a normal living room can feature some shades of the color. Take a look at the photos yourself to get a real sense of the color!

And wouldn’t you know it, there’s already been articles published on how to incorporate this lovely color into your weddings. Coming from Glamour, the article digs into little ways to mix Living Coral into almost every aspect of your big day.

The easiest way is for your bridesmaids to rock the color in their dresses. Warm up a winter wedding or go along with the season for a Spring or Summer ceremony. Even better, have the gents sport some coral ties to really liven up the classic formal look.

They also think that tossing just a few coral flowers into your bouquet will do wonders for the color pallet. Along with other greens, reds and whites, it is a feast for your eyes!

As we officially enter 2019, we are really excited to see just how often Living Coral appears in the weddings we visit–or just in general. Do you like the color? Think you’re going to incorporate it into your big day? Let us know in the comments below!

Welcome everyone to another installment of your weird wedding news! We hope everyone is having a fantastic Holiday season and gearing up for a New Year–because we certainly are! To cap off 2018, we are bringing you just a few more stories! Let us go out with a bang!

A quickie to get us started: comedian Dave Chappelle, who is often noted to hate taking fan photos, happened upon an Ohio Brewery during the engagement shoot for Thomas Saunders and Emily Eldridge.

Surprised the comedian showed up, but certainly not willing to interrupt the celebrity, the couple and photographer made their way outside for a few more photos. When Chappelle showed up outside, the couple went up to ask for a photo, only for him to politely decline. Shortly after (and after learning about Saunders’ military service) Chappelle made his way over to photobomb their shot!

You might have used the excuse of “my dog ate my homework,” once or twice, but what about when your dog actually eats your wedding ring? An adorable little labradoodle by the name of Bella wound up with owner Cindy McCombs’ ring in her stomach, but was only discovered after being inadvertently waved down by a metal detector.

To avoid actually cutting Bella open (the dog had failed to produce the ring through induced vomiting) they were able to use a special forcep tool to retrieve the ring. Yes, the dog is ok so you do not need to worry!

https://www.foxnews.com/lifestyle/stolen-wedding-dress-returned-to-newlyweds-after-anonymous-man-hears-their-pleas

Remember a few weeks ago about the story of the stolen wedding dress (yes, I know there are a lot of them) from the back seat of a car after it had been left there overnight to be taken to the cleaners? Well, good news has come out of the story as an anonymous man has returned the stolen dress!

The nameless man contacted Jessica Blackwell, who had gone viral in her attempts to get her dress back, and agreed to meet her to return the dress. It has not been announced whether the man in question is the actual thief, or if he had just come by the dress accidentally. Either way, a happy ending!

Mandy Moore is everywhere again and it’s pretty fantastic! Starring on the heartbreaking and emotionally sadistic This Is Us, she makes us cry pretty much every week, but this time we can celebrate her wedding!

Marrying musician Taylor Goldsmith in a private ceremony in LA, the previously-married actress/musician wore a magical pink dress. Designed by Rodarte, the gown was created exclusively for her wedding day. Inspiring a “welcome, fashion-forward change to the super-traditional mix of this year’s celebrity wedding gowns,” she really made a statement and looked splendid as well! The small, 50-person wedding featured many of her costars and friends. Congrats!

Back in November, a wedding in Vienna really stirred things up on the internet–at least for China. That’s probably a weird sentence to read, and that’s because this is an interesting story. Tiffany Tang Yan (a Chinese Actress) wed Luo Jin (another famous actor in China) in a luxurious and highly-anticipated wedding.

Igniting social media in a firestorm, the wedding was sponsored by a number of high-class brands. Along with it came the controversy that the wedding was more of a tourist attraction that highlighted expensive brands rather celebrating just the love of these two. The Vienna Tourism Board even posted on the internet that they had hoped the wedding would bring tourists to the city, which is absolutely absurd for a wedding!

What do you think? Is this too much?

The final story this week might make you a little queasy. In the wonderful world of eBay purchases, you can find some pretty wild things. This week brings us the amazing prospect of owning 32-year-old cake!

That’s right! Fans of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson can literally buy some of their wedding cake. Described on eBay as “vintage condition,” it should certainly be noted that one should not eat it. The pictures hardly make it look edible as it is, almost like a bad coffee cake, but it does come in the original box. It sold for around $40.
